1. Be on time: Always be minutes ahead of the appointment: the customer will always appreciate this and create a positive impression on his/ her mind.

2. Dress neatly and formal/ semi formal: smell nice: no customer will like to smell your sweat in an air con room when you are coming fro outside.

3. Greet and give a simple but firm hand shake.

4. Introduce your self breifly explaining the products and sevices you offer.

5. Listen to what the customer says ; take notes if required.

6. After he completes, ask him open questions so that you may mentally filter down his exact needs.

7. After completion, re state  what he has said and have it confirmed.

8. Speak to him in a friendly manner so that you create a bonding; so that even if has no present requirements he will contact you as soon as he gets any.

9. Lastly, send him an email later in the day thanking for is time and that you  will get back to him when required at the earliest
