If its a new customer

  • Always make customer feel VALUED
  • Spread vibes of positivity and willingness to solve his problems
  • Speak less - Listen More to what customer has to say
  • Deliver service with committmen     

If its a returning customer or old customer

  • Send customer a thankyou note in email and at his or her physical address. 
  • Even you can call the customer for1 to2 minutes and discuss about his or her experience with the brand.
  • Build interactivity and a smooth relationship

Focus on a great product in the first place by understanding the target customers need.

 

For e.g. A restaurant should first focus on providing the best quality food it wants to be known for. Other perks like ambiance and courtesies may add to the product but the restaurant cannot do without good food. If the waiters are very friendly but the food is bad quality or too expensive, i would not be impressed at all.
