Many different things have been tried Gamaliyel, with varying degrees of success but I don't think you will ever completely reduce the impact of birds on aircraft safety. Most airfields now have "bird scaring units" and they employ such things as: birds of prey, tapes of hunting bird noises played over loud speakers and controlled explosives set off at regular intervals on the airfield all designed to scare birds away. Airfields near the coast and those near to rubbish tips are also susceptible to the impact of birds. I'm sure that working to find a solution will continue until successful as the cost of bird damage is huge both in financial terms and for flight safety reasons.
I think with new materials and turbofan engines (unlike turbo-jet engines), the impact of bird on aircraft engine is exagerated. Anyway, several methods including those above are helpful to scare birds away. In furure, Aicrafts will be achieving better climb rates which will also decrease the probability of an impact from bird.

Economical aspect: airline must have appropriate insurance of the aircraft and aircraft components which includes bird strike case (especially for engines).

To minimize bird impct,
1. Airport Authorities are responsible for reducing the bird hitting,they need to take preventive measures for clearing the runway before the aircraft landing.
2. keeping the sidesways of runway clean by dead animals, Insects and other food sources.
3. Removing seed-bearing plants to eliminate food sources.
4. Using insecticides or pesticides to eliminate food sources for insect-eating birds.
5. Covering nearby ponds with netting to prevent birds from landing.
6. Removing brush and trees that serve as attractive nesting sites.
7. Using sonic cannons, recorded predator calls and other noise generators to disrupt birds activities near the runways.
8. Using lasers at dawn and dusk to simulate predators and scare birds away.
The airports are responsible for the aviary control. If you are landing, depending on the fuel and coordinated action that does not affect safety, it is expected or track changes, if any. In the case of out of flying, it is expected to bird control officers cleared the area always coordinated with tower ensuring safety.

Airports are responsible for bird control and should provide adequate wildlife control measures. If large birds or flocks of birds are reported or observed near the runway, the flight crew should consider:
Delaying the takeoff or landing when fuel permits. Advise the tower and wait for airport action before continuing.
Take off or land on another runway that is free of bird activity, if available.
