ofcourse it is very useful as it increases the knowledge and self confidence as well

Hello again, it's so important because students get to explore and test what is it like to do something real.

Personally, I never had a real chance of being an intern except for the mandatory training I did as part of course work back in college, however, I did some voluntary work later on (after5 years of work in design & manufacturing) and that was a turning point on the career level.

It's never too late to do it again :)

It is important but the advantage always depends upon how seriously the intern takes the internship....

Yes its good for them because improve their confidence and knowledge and technical experience

In my opinion, Internships are of utmost importance to engineering students. Its a stage in their lives that prepares them for careers in various sectors & industries in the real world. Internships bridge the gap between theory and practice and provide students with practical, field-based, real-world experiences. It provides a platform for students to gain experience, besides practicing their learning skills beyond (Boring) textbooks and lectures. Moreover, most of the employers pay a stipend of a nominal amount to the interns which makes internships rewarding in terms of pocket money as well as for the future which includes job interviews.

Sure it's important, it provides knowledge to the students to get a perfect experience and will be qualified in practical life.

Definitely. During intenship, students gain practical application of theory. Engineering itself is application of science/ theory.

Also its a bridge between academics and industrial requirements. Engineering students must feel the heat with their hands. Also a good mentor can give best guidance.

Intenships shall be more beneficial than projects. More than one intenships shall be a part of curriculum. Best to be in3rd year of college.

Internship is just like a formality to get the degree it’s not a period where you will learn something. For learning and getting experience practical work is important where responsibilities and academic knowledge utilization can raise the valve of a professional. I have an alternate solution for Internship if during academic period if Universities keep100 marks each for attending practical working environment in the local area then each year students will learn more practical thing rather to attend a company at the end of education because the heat of practical life must be feel from the beginning of professional studies.
