in the olden days, the definition would have been "A person who can sell a refrigerator to an eskimo OR Sell fire to the devil".  The age now is more of an impulse buying or MSMD (Monkey see monkey do). Need based selling doesnt work much as of now. Its more of an impulse buying.

 

Most of the people are happy in owing things just because someone else has it rather than because of its need to him ! A person who understands this and raises the impulse of the customer at the same time a bit of ego polishing would end up doing better justice to his prodduct
