If I'm not wrong, this question is about the application of acqisition methodology in English teaching.

Actually, each teacher prefers a specific strategy when teaching his subject. This preference is usually due to his better command on it or due to better results by using it. This strategy may vary for different age groups.

If we take it general, then to me, the best acqisition methodology for English as a second language is the Direct approach. It's sometimes also called as Natural approach due to many similarities. In this methodology, focus remains on language exposure by using vast vocabulary in an environment that reduces anxiety of the learners.
