Definitely well as incorrect is a defeat. It would have been better to spend the money before to create a strong product that does not need false recommendations. But we well know that this is a weapon used by competitors. . It 's a game that exists, but if the product does not work, in the long run, these mechanisms fall.

No! But paying someone, an influencer or a "ghost client" to write FALSELY POSITIVE reviews about a BAD product or a FICTITIOUS delightful purchase experience is unethical & deceitful, yes! No ambiguity about this part of the question. The discussion can only take place about whether it's "tolerable" if the product in the end is evidently good enough and demonstratedly applauded by REAL reviews, TOO. But in general, it's a form of "misleading advertisement" (legally punishable in some countries).

There are two question about it :

Is it ethical - No

Will you do it - Yes but it too depends on the product and the influencer. Its just like engaging a celebrity to advertise/endross your product in TV ads.

its depend on the product, if i have quality product and i pay the influencer to write reviews  about my product as it really is, of course is ethical and Vice versa .
