Language is a tool so Learning Arabic is good for teachers living in the middle east..not only because it make their life easier..but also because it helps them with their jobs, some students might not a understand a word unless it is translated to Arabic

I think that anyone teaching/working in a foreign country should try and learn that country's language. There are a number of reasons, certainly it would be easier for a teacher if they could explain some of the technicalities of the English language, in Arabic, simplifying it for the student. Speaking Arabic would also be a sign of respect for the culture and the people of the particular country you are in. I also think that it would be a matter of pride to be able to extend everyday courtesies in the language of the people who are hosting you. Finally learning another language shows your ability to "absorb" knowledge and is another string to your bow!!
