For gender balance in recruitment, what would be your answer?

I think this could be based on the requirement. Sometime, I have been asked for female candidate and sometime for male candidate. Meanwhile, in certain position we have been asked for anyone who is the best among the poll of candidate. Well, organization have to have maintain the equal mix of gender as this could be an issue for them if they preferred to go for gender biasness in hiring process.

I normally perfer females over male for office jobs . They show more commitment and are focused .
