What can educated parents do to help the learning progress of the students?

The main attribute educated parents have is that they understand the importance of their children getting a good education and making the necessary progress. They will in turn get this message across to their children. Of course they will be able to "assist" their child especially with subjects in which they are well versed but assisting is one thing, doing it for them is another and should be avoided. The main thing is showing them the right path and the importance to them, for future life, in getting a good education.
