8gms of thorium can fuel a car for 10 years? are we going to see a rise in thorium mining soon?

Unless in10years ; our cars are going to be powered by nuclear fuel.. we'd be jet setting around. 

On a serious note; the demand for power is only increasing..the glut and dependency for fossil fuel that we see today is no longer sustainable. While a lot is being discussed for renewables, there is still some head way to make on this front. So the natural alternative is "Nuclear Power"...and that's where thorium comes in.  Given its abundant supply; a safer alternative to Uranium and theoritically at least - the benefits against pultonium.. don't see why mining won't increase.
