What is health insurance?

Is a type of insurance that cover the cost of the life assured medical and surgical costs. In Malaysia,  health or medical insurance falls under Life Insurance and governed by Bank Negara Malaysia and Life Insurance Association Malaysia which are the regulators. 

Health insurance is basiclly a coverage for medical expenses like visit clinics, hospitals, surgeries , tests medicines ....etc, different insurance policies differ in respect to the extend of cover depending on the term and conditions of each.

  There are two types of health insurance private health inurance borne by private insurance companies and may also refer to as medical insurance the other is public health insurance which adminstered by government.

In India, health insurance is covered in General Insurance.In Gulf ,especially , Oman , health insurance is a part of life insurance.

It is better to have a separate policy with general insurance.

Health insurance is neither covered under life nor under general insurance in India. Health insurance is a totally separate speciality that has gained ground or popularity in India, although in the western world it is there for decades.

Health Insurance covers the cost of Medical Expenses due to accident and sickness.

Insurance against loss by illness or bodily injury. Health insurance provides coverage for medicine, visits to the doctor or emergency room, hospital stays and other medical expenses. Policies differ in what they cover, the size of the deductible and/or co-payment, limits of coverage and the options for treatment available to the policyholder.

I guess it would be better of named as PRIVATE MEDICAL INSURANCE PRACTICE
