The majority of my answers are based on real life experiences and situations. Here is the difference that I can see: Theoretical responses are like assumptions or perfect scenarios (like study in college). Real life responses confirm how things are actually achieved in the real world. There is a difference between studying how to survive in the jungle while sitting comfortably on the sofa at home and actually being there.

It depends on the question, some questions need to be answered on real life scenarios like problem solving, and some based on the theoretical like defining or explain terms and expressions.
