It is important not to be stark and exciting colors for attention so as not to deviate the attention of the responsible for the interview
The bottom line White is the favorite color for the shirt and dark blue suit
Blue shirt, maroon TIE and black coat, back shoes, black belt. Light perfume.
I advice every one ,3 things :-
1) Have a fresh bath to make your smell nice :).
2) Shave well Or make it good enough looking.
3) Dress well , also there is not need to be expensive at all , Just clean dress with a nice Tie , if not you can wear semi classic if you can afford a nice suite as well.

It's tricky for personal choices and preferences vary.l would go for dark colors for trousers and jacket then the shirt should be any other colors other than WHITE........l can't give a sound reason for my distaste for a WHITE shirt on such an occassion.As for ladies something decent,not too revealing or too short.
I personally would wear a white shirt with a blue tie, i feel this is a powerful look for business people
Whatever appropriate dress you wear but it should be;
- Neat and properly eared.
- Tie should be in contrast or seems reasonable with fresh knot. Sometime candidates wear that tie which was knotted2 years back.
- Shoes should be polished.
- Belt should be decent and matching the socks, don't wear casus belt.
- If you wear two piece suits then do wear a complete suit don’t opt for separate, trouser, coat and tie as this give inappropriate dressing taste.
Always remember the way you present and carry yourself is creating positive image and recruiter consider it.

I would say choose fresh and comfortable colors such as dark or royal blue, kacki, beige. However, I strongly advice you stay away of colors such as black, brown, grey and unprofessional colors.
There are many ways to make you handsome and attractive in the interview especially in your attire. This could be:
a. Suit with closed collar (tie)
b. Shirt may be white or light color
c. Suitable shoes with matching dress
d. Be clean, combed and shaved properly.

-Black pants with blue shirt
- ... The list goes on
What's important is if you can carry the confidence that's required to nail the job.
