What is aspect ratio in HVAC?

aspect ratio is the width to fight ratio in ducts which shouldnt exceed 4:1 as per ASHRAE

HVAC Duct width to height ratio is called Aspect Ratio. Maximum aspect ratio permitted by ASHRAE is 4:1( W : H)

Ration between width and height of duct is known as aspect ratio. 1:4 is standard aspect ration for duct design.

Aspect Ratio no more than 3:1 in Ventilation Duct.

The ratio of width and height of the duct is called Aspect ratio. The value which is closer to 1 is the most preferred duct. And the aspect ratio lies in between 1 to 9.

The aspect ratio in HVAC is  1:4 to 4:1
