I am thinking about starting a food blog soon. What is the best way to advertise it?

I suggest a vlog using youtube. and you can use Facebook and other social media sites in marketing. make sure to make your photos professional, the photo is the most important factor when talking about food. 

YouTube is the best option . Facebook is also good option. Well you can add gifs and videos in your blog to make it interactive. In this way you will get more audience and I will you strong visibility.

1. Search for forums where you target audience (people who will be interested in your blog's content). Promote your blog posts in those forums.2. Do guest blogging.

3. Reach out to other food bloggers, invite them to write for your blog.

4. Use social media (you must first do research on which social media platform is your target audience are mostly hanging out. Focus on that particular platform).Instagram is highly recommended.

5. Run a giveaway contest.

6. Attend local food festivals and promote your blog.

You should first determine your target audience and their media habit to help choose the right media. However, in modern times youtube, facebook, linkedin and bayt.com are common media for most people irrespective of segments hence could be used.

I do not have experience or information about blogs, but I agree with the previous answer.
