What are the methods to be adopted by the firefighters/ rescuers during a fire inside the building ?

if the fire started from the top of the building, first don't think of using the lift,use the stairs. check what caused the fire is it electrical or normal, kind of building it is then use the correct mood of extinguisher i,e if its a closed room do not use CO2 use the chemical power to put off the fire.
