Does being a successful teacher have anything to do with being confident?

Absolutely yes! This is because confidence comes as a result of personal skills and accomplishments. If you're an effective teacher, you'll be confident.

To my own point of view confident is the only tool the gives the teacher the ability to know if his /her lesson is successfully taught.
