Does the client has right to claim discount in total cost of project if the prices of materials come down after signing of contract?

it is depend on the type of contract or an example if the contract is a lump sum client does not have any rights to claim further if the main contractor and client have the good mutual understanding or to maintain a very good relationship contractor may consider this matter to his account.
