I want to do ratio analysis of 2014 for a company. But my collected financial statements are like 2015-2014 & 2013-2014?

From my uderstanding, I think the finanacials for 2013-2014 is afctually the financial statement of 2014 with 2013 comparative figures and that of 2015 -2014 is the financial  statement for 2015 with 2014 comparative figures too.

The most appropriate one to use for 2014 analysis should be financial statements of 2013- 2014 because it is likely to contain more details for 2014 and not just comparative figures.

I just need 2013 to 2014 to do the ratio analysis of 2014 for a company

i will use my finiancial statement for 2014 to compare that of 2013 and 2015 to know the finiancial capacity of the company and know the growth rate.

properly comparing a balance sheet with the corresponding profit and loss account to determine the strengths and weaknesses of a business

I will use the 2015-2014 statement will give more updating for the financial statement

Use your closing year as a benchmark

Use relevant Quarters results from both financial years results to do this.
