What is the shortcut key to insert system date in a cell (Excel)?

in excel worksheet select the cell in which you want to insert the current system date

To insert the current date 

Press Ctrl+; ( Semi-colon)

ctrl+shift: for time

ctrl+; for date

put in the cell that you want to show the today dat this function

=TODAY()

you can use   Ctrl + ;
