I am working in a steel trading company. We are working with SAP R35 but we do not work with SAP when we need to make a review/advice of materials to order (sort of MRP-run). SAP has develloped for us a transaction, but the time needed to put the variabel data into SAP with other transactions, is higher than getting the stock data to Excel and manually review the data. Does any specialist know something more about this subject? Many thanks in advance.

Thank you for your answer, but there has been made a custom program in SAP by the developers. That is why we work with Excel.

You can develop a custom program, or an LSMW script to load the data into SAP. Many times Excel will be quicker for quick transactions or verificiation. It is a great analysis tool when used in conjunction with SAP, however you cannot replace the overall functionality.
