What is the application field of sponsorship?

I think its an art that involves an individual, a firm or organisation rendering support or faciliation in a financial or non-financial way to an individual, a firm or an organisation to help it accomplish its objectives. The sponser may offer finacial help like money & grants or offer a product in this case as sponsership. Usually the sponser expects something in return & the sponsee is obliged to respond as agreed before hand to such terms & conditions.
