What is the meaning of CE written on electrical appliances

It is confirmation that the product meets the European Conformity Requirements such as Health and Safety , Environmental protection as examined  by  Conformity committee .

CE stands for Conformité Européenne, which is French for "European Conformity." A product cannot legally be sold in the European Union unless it has passed the tests to receive the CE marking.
