The agronomy is deals with growing of crops under suitable scientific methodes(cereals and millets etc..,) and vegetable science belongs to hoticulture(olariculture)

Target field of the two categories differs.

Agronomy science is the branch of agriculture .   That deals with field crops fodder crops and fibre crops and also soil management.

Product vegetable science is the branch of horticulture deals with vegetable crops like tomato ,potato, all tuber crops  ,leafy vegetables and others.

agronomy science is the general researchs in that field but product vegetable science is the professional practic of agronomy.
