Thank you for invitation ,

I totally agree with this statement , because leader has inborn skills not available in normal or assigned manager , i.e : Leaders speaking formula as (We) while Manager formula (I) .

That is mean always leader work for all by aligning & employ his-her skills with the crew efforts  towards achieving the targets , But the manager need to improve him-herself by directing & managing the team.

Although I agree with the first half of this statement "Not every manager is a leader", I don't quite think that every leader is a manager. In my opinion, there are two different set of skills: Leadership skills and management skills. If someone has one of those sets of skills it doesn't mean that he/she has the other set by default.

Leadership Skills: Setting Vision, Formulating Goals, Setting direction, Getting people's buy in, Inspiring others, Motivating, Persuading, Resolving conflict, Empowering, Guiding, Coaching, Mentoring, Reading people.

Management Skills: Planning, Capacity Evaluation, Utilizing resources, Improving efficiency, allocating resources, solving problems, delegating, monitoring, controlling, budgeting.

Both sets of skills are different, yet important. A good leader needs to learn how to be a good manager and a good manager needs to learn how to be a good leader.
