because the company make profit of them, so the company should treat them as kings

I agree with the above answers as consumers spend money and buy goods their behavior determines the market. They can accept a product or reject it, companies has to produce and design goods as required by consumers.

In a kingdom, king makes decision and all the people follow his order. Similarly, in the market place, it is the consumer who makes a decision to buy a product based perception of quality, features, usefulness and finally price of the product. Now based on consumer behavior, the marketing and production people design the product with necessary features. That is why we call Consumer is the king.
