Both of them, It is very useful to determine the product wisely, especially to detect the aging of the product from the beginning of manufacture.

1) BIN locations are labelled with location barcodes.

2) Every item has its own unique barcode

3) Every container/tray used for receiving/picking  has its own unique barcode.
