As a web developer, do you think that learning a mobile programming language (such as Java or Objective C) is important for web development?

Well, 

 

Learning the Java is always a good thing to do... a long list of reasons can be presented as proof. Concering the mobile development it's true that more and more companies and developers tend to go on the SOA Architecture based application (using web services - OData, RESTFull, WebAPI,..) so the business layer code will be hosted on the server side (many options available to pick a language for that: c#, vb, Java, javascript (NodeJS), ...). On the client side a simple browser wrapper will allow you access to most of the mobile functionnalities.... 

 

So yes it's not that important to learn native mobile application programming language to create the client side (UI on the mobile) but it's necessary to have at least an back-end developer that will be in charge of server side implementation (which person will have to master a suited language).

No it is not important. It is obvious that it depends on the requirement you are working in. If you need some knowledge like that then you may learn it. Otherwise you may focus on further web technologies.

it can be beneficial if any web developer have the knowledge of java and c .if one knows java than he can provide more security ,efficiency and can facilitate the web page with many more facilities using spring hibernate and j query but rather than that without knowing mobile application language also we can do good web development using web languages such as .net,php,wordpress.
