to me, it means warranty and guarantee of the product once it has been sold out. and services of repair, change or even money back promise is "after sale" to build trust among the customers and ensure the quality , fast and trustworthy services of your product.
It's the insuranse for the product after it has been sold in the market . As an aftersales employee you have to ensure of the quality and warranty and sure the spare parts if exist
simply it is the continuity of sales process , it build a long term relationship with customers , tends to increase customer loyalty and it help collecting feedback's .
