cnc waterjet machine is automated by means of computer control . the machine is attached to computer system that is responsible for its movements . the automated movements is achieved by prepared programs in the format of G codes , this programs is built by the computer system.
there are tow methods of the cnc programming :
1- CAD - CAM system : construction of the required CAD drawing using CAD software and generate the automation program in the format of G CODES using CAM (computer added manufacturing) software, the previous operations are made on separated computers then the G CODE program is transffered to the machine computer control.
2- CNC system : the original method of programming a cnc machine , when the program is prepared on the built in computer control of the machine and saved on its memory
