Land surveyor is a surveyor there are  no types

and his main target is to measure

he can work in these fields

- cadastral

- construction

- photogrametry

- land development

- oil and gas

- rail way

- tunnels

- dams

- road work

- quantities

- monitoring (high rise -dams -tunnels ect)

and everything related to measuring

real estate,geodesy,roads,construction,dams,and restoration surveying.the needs for surveying are expanding every day,any project needs a surveyor.The surveyor is the first  and last  man in any  project .

Well, it's a difficult question because each region has it's own lists.

Generally:

1. Engineering surveying.

Using in several branches like civil or industrial construction, bridges and tunnels, monitoring, etc.

2. Construction surveying.

The same as above but has not so strong accuracy requirements.

3. Road surveyings.

It's obviously.

4. Mine surveying.

Coordinates determination at mines and careers, volume calculation.

5. Boundary surveying.

Determination of parcels corners and edges coordinates.
