Depending on the size or capacity of the compressor unit or its application(residential or Commercial), the current rating will vary. More BTU, more current consumption.Starting current like any rotatory machine, will be high say% more for a few seconds.Compressor part is the one which is working to produce pressurized gas and consumes more current, again depending on its size.
