According to Marketing literature; Product, Price, Place and Promotion are the4 P's of Marketing.Your idea on4 P's of Purchasing  is quite innovative. We may look at the following angle:

  1. Product (Specification)
  2. Price(bidding and fixing Purchase order price )
  3. Place?( buy from local or international market)
  4. Promotion (prompt delivery to the end user and getting feedback).

In purchasing concept, purchasing is characterized  as follows in simple terms:

Getting the right product (product specification), of right quantity (product quantity) at the right time (delivery time)  at the right place (delivered to the end user).
