Is there any Link between AutoCAD and 3ds Max?

For creating2 Dimensional Drawings not too much link or Relation, but for3 Dimensional drawing Yes of course, Both software are important, AutoCAd is more Easier to draw the drawings and making3 D Objects and3 D Studio software has better performance for Assigning Material, Lights, Camera and Generating the required views. 

AutoCAD only imports the3DS geometry but does not support the materials or mapping provided by3DS files. Probably best to render out our Viz images and then insert them into the AutoCAD file as an image.

The two programs are Autodesk programs now a days the compatibility is high between these two programs and there is a lot of features which cross over between both since the developing company is the same of course Auto Cad is much more in the accurate side
