What is the treatment for goodwill arising in a business combination? Should it be expensed or capitalised & ammortised over the years?

If goodwill arises in Business combination, it should be booked in separate line as intangible assets under Non-current assets. Goodwill should never be expensed out or amortized as per IFRS. Once goodwill is recorded it must be test for impairment annually.
