What is the best navigation tool in Autocad and 3D Studio Max?

Being Viewcube, I still beleive that using Mouse with keyboard short keys are the best options for navigation in both Softwares.

View cube, but I prefer using alt+scroll in3ds Max.

In my opinion, Shortcut keys are very useful for the fast navigation. 

Navigation is a field of study that focuses on the process of monitoring and controlling the movement of a object or view from one place to another and the Navigation purpose the best option by Navigation Bar, which provide you the different option at one bar i.e. PAN, ORBIT, ZOOM, Rewind and show motion.

But View cube provide you the option for changing the views orientation from TOP to Bottom, or Left to Right, or south west view to South East View, or Auxiliary views etc. The purpose of View cube is only changing the views orientation not navigation of the object.
