Given the thrust on developing public transport as a means of decongestant/ economizing, can the personalized rapid transit (PRT)systems be advocated?

PRT systems are being planned across the globe with the advantage of last mile connectivity. The reluctance of people to shift to public transport is the fixed nature of its operation. Combined with PRT, this psychological barrier could be overcome.
