What are the causes of white,blue and black smoke in CI engines?

black smoke is due to too much fuel in the combustion chambers and blue smoke is oil burning and might be caused by worn out oil scrapper rings then white smoke is due to a lean mixture that is less fuel in the combustion chamber than the air
