What are the biggest challenges that are recently facing the IT field?

The toughest challenges the IT industry is facing these days are in my opinion:

1. Lack of strategic alignment with the business objectives.

2. Inconsistent management of IT investment portfolio

3. Constantly changing security landscape, involving organized crime and state-sponsored cyber warfare

4. Growing regulatory pressure with stricter penalties

5. Difficulty finding experienced personnel, because of constant technology change

6. Outsourcing dilemma - cheaper, but lower quality? Google, Apple and IBM stopped their outsourcing to India, because of lower quality of project management.

7. Lack of uniform vendor selection criteria.

Lack of technical experts with stong foundation...
most resources in the market are product oriented and only know and are certified for select products; rarely will you find good resources who can adapt to any product / system as their foundations and logic are strong.
