Defiantly Yes , I was working in IT Industry since1989 , Even before Internet ,, So i feel the complete effect of the technology in personal and business communications ,

It is a huge effect in terms of business , So now you can get all what are you looking for in few minutes in front of my PC ,, 

Plus in terms of personal , I think the new social communication make all people in the world very close with smart phones and applications , 

Should the world feel less closer without technology!  People - Technology - Communication work hand in hand to bring people together.  

In nominal sense, "Yes". but in real sense, No. Technology made world addict to its use which has ultimately resulted in differences and distances between the people.
