I can feel your frustration in your question, but let me tell you that I don't believe that is a true statement. First, it depends on what country/ type of company you are talking about. Some companies have a way of presenting themselves and to fully and professionally do that they need to hire smart beautiful and trainable women as a way to attract more customers. other companies maybe looking for skills that a woman has but you didn't; companies do read beyond what's in your resume and also hire based on personality.
Don't give up, and you know there is something special meant for you and all you gotta do is to keep looking till you find it. Stay positive and you will attract everything you want to you :)
In the means time and while you are looking for more opportunities work on adding more skills to what you already have. For example, Start learning a new language (which gives you more opportunities to go international), learn how to use new softwares, learn how to type extra fast, volunteer...atc.
