What is the difference between financial manager job task and finance officer ?

Both are working in finance department so the tasks can be same with difference in level of resposibility and level of reporting.

 

Being a manager, FM is supposed more to work as a vigilant supervisor monitoring and ensuring that tasks are being carried out in a  desired manner for achievement of objectives. He is also supposed to follow-up with finance officer for tasks assigned to him an check his progress.

 

Finance Officer will assist FM to carry out tasks assigned to him in the most effective and efficient manner and keep the FM posted with the progress.

Financial Manager:  He has a job role to Manage his subordinates to extract job requirements, which comes a part of his main functions. (All financial functions including Treasury functions

 

Financial Officer: His responsibilities and accountabilities count more than other functions vested on him.(Mainly Treasury functions)

Difference of finance officer and finance manager?

Financial Officer prepare financial report and submit it to financial manager for decision making process. Manager role is to organize work and mange the company on behalf of owner. Financial officer are back bone of manancial manager.
