Asphaltic Mix properties varies based on its purpose of use,like cement grades we have grades for asphalt and based on the climatic conditions and the project requirements these asphalt grades will be selected.  And the aggregate sizes will vary based on the purpose of use (like base course or wearing course).

Properties depends on the mix design with the materials avaialable at site and as per the project requirements.

If your purpose of work is clear , may be you can get better answers.
